105°

Wow is the heat a buzz kill. The last two weeks, and the foreseeable future is around triple digits. Looks like rides will all now be starting at 6-630am, and be shorter, but more frequent, and I'll likely take the old road bike and make a permanent trainer station :-( Uggh, If I wouldn't die of heatstroke, riding when it's 105° and 80% humidity is almost better than a trainer.

I got to ride with some racer friends from Austin today at Government Canyon. We started a bit before 8am and by our finish around 11:15 it was scorching hot. It was Steve and Mel's first ride at GCSNA, and they really liked it. Seeing they are from Austin with all of the awesome trails they have, that's saying something!

Well I hope all of the GTDC team are staying cool and having great races! If any of you are going to be at the Nationals at Solvista, look for the Sage Cycles crew. Two of them are Texas State Champs and are gonna give it a go at 9000ft. I think at last count there were 5-6 of them heading up.

I remember living in AZ years ago...4:30 am road rides!! Hang in there! When winter rolls around you will have the best riding and we'll be freezing and shoveling snow...
